How many energy drinks can you drink so as not to harm your health?


Children and adolescents, pregnant women, and patients with cardiovascular diseases and diabetes should completely refrain from drinking such drinks.


It is generally recommended not to drink more than one per day, and this is based on two reasons:


Amount of caffeine. The US Food and Drug Administration recommends no more than 400 mg per day. And from the point of view of energy, it should not exceed two, no more, even if this is the only source of stimulant in the diet.


Amount of sugar. The World Health Organization recommends that sugar make up no more than 10% of total calories, ideally no more than 5%. If the average calorie intake is 2000 kcal per day, this will be 50 and 25 g, respectively.


So, one energy drink a day is relatively safe for health, but in this case, do not eat sugar and avoid other stimulants.
